The Town of Rolling Hills will have these positions on the ballot: Mayor, Council Member, Council Member
Each position is a four-year term.
If you are considering running for one of these positions, please refer to the documents below. The Application for Nomination can be submitted at the Rolling Hills Town Hall within the filing period of May 14 - 29, 2026. The Town of Rolling Hills is in Election District No. 11 and Precinct No. 11; we do not have a Ward No.
A $25 filing fee is due at the time of submission.
After filing, a candidate must submit a Statement of Contributions with the County Clerk's Office at least 7 days before the Primary Election and again 7 days before the General Election.
Due Dates: August 11, 2026 -and- October 27, 2026
Qualifications for Holding Office in Rolling Hills
* Please ensure that:
- You are not holding an office which may conflict, or be incompatible, with the office for which you are filing.
- Your employment is compatible with the office you are seeking. In Rolling Hills, the governing body meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. There are also a minimal number of work sessions throughout the year. You may be asked to volunteer on a board that requires extra time, such as zoning, parks, landfill, joint powers and/or emergency management.
* You must be a registered voter of the Town of Rolling Hills.
* You must currently reside in the Town of Rolling Hills and have lived in the Town of Rolling Hills for at least one year preceding the election.
Campaigns
* Campaign materials/signs are not allowed in the municipal or county right-of-way or on any town-owned property.
* The County Courthouse is an early absentee polling location from July 21 through August 17, 2026, and again from October 6 through November 2, 2026; therefore, during this time, no electioneering (no campaign signage, brochures, etc) is allowed within 100 feet of the entrances. On election days - August 18 and November 3, 2026 - the same applies but must not be within 100 yards of any polling location.
